Our festival offers samplings of hundreds of whiskeys, seminars and fantastic conversations with whiskey lovers, distillers, brand founders and more to arm you with the tools you need to become a whiskey expert. And, oh, yeah... you'll have one hell of a time. The Whiskey Lover, the Whiskey Curious, the Whiskey Enthusiast, The Whiskey Aficionado, The Whiskey Rookie. All are welcome! WHY SHOULD YOU

ATTEND? Discovering new whiskeys can be an expensive exploration. Signage in a liquor store and the details on a bottle’s label will only tell you so much. How do you know you’re going to take home something you love? There’s no better way to find your new favorite drink than side-by-side comparison tasting. Whiskey Riot is a large format tasting event complete with brand representatives who can answer questions, explain the nuances of what your tasting and leave you feeling armed with more whiskey knowledge. Boondocks Bourbon has been a fan-favorite of Whiskey Riot attendees all year long 🥃

Across America, thousands of whiskey lovers have gotten to sip on Boondocks 6 Year Old Port Barrel Finished Straight Bourbon as soon as they walked through the doors of Whiskey Riot.

This full-flavored bourbon is created by Boondocks Master Distiller Dave Scheurich, who hand-selects an incredibly smooth and rich Straight Bourbon Whiskey then coaxes even more flavor and nuance out of it by aging the whiskey a little longer in used port barrels.

Throughout the process Dave routinely pulls samples to ensure the extra aging compliments, but doesn't overpower, the bourbon and adds to its complexity and character.

The result is a beautiful ruby and amber colored bourbon. It's robust, fruity, and nicely balanced with warm bourbon notes that are enhanced by a subtle port finish and highlighted by aromas and flavors of raisins, vanilla, and a touch of smoke. Oaky, but not tannic. Sweet, big, and spicy mouthfeel with a long, pleasant finish.

The third annual San Antonio Whiskey Riot brought together an incredible crowd of whiskey fans, distillers, and curious newcomers for a night packed with standout pours and unforgettable conversations.

Whether you came searching for a new favorite bottle or just to enjoy the atmosphere, the passion and excitement in the room made the night something special from start to finish.

Rebel Bourbon is officially rolling into San Antonio Whiskey Riot with the Kyle Busch No. 8 Show Car! 🏁🥃

On May 16 attendees of the 2026 San Antonio Whiskey Riot can check out the iconic show car while sipping on Rebel's signature cocktail "The Diamond Hands" (Rebel KSBW 100 mixed with iced tea and lemonade) and sampling Rebel Root Bear Whiskey, Rebel KSBW Kyle Busch 108, and Rebel KSBW Small Batch.
