A Religious Experience
I started painting at the age of two, and I firmly believe that it is ancestors that have led to my growth as an artist, whether it be as a writer/ poet, or a person. I have come into my own as a artist in being able to celebrate my life and my awakening through the blessings of my ancestors. My art represents what inspires me and those who have come before me, which has been greatly influenced by my Caribbean background and study of voodoo.
Black Madonna: A Religious Experiences encapsulates my growth spiritually and artistically, which are one in the same. I look forward to how my work develops, and how my supporters/ family will grow as the years' come. I look forward to sharing my work with the world, as it is a part of my ancestral worship.
