We also offer applied improv team building and training for businesses and organizations! Station Theater offers a full lineup of intelligent and irreverent long-form improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy shows every Friday and Saturday at 2219 Crockett St . Station Theater also produces the annual Trill Comedy Festival. Station’s comedy conservatory offers workshops and classes in long-form improv, sketch, and stand-up comedy, as well as other areas of performance art. Station Theater is available for corporate teambuilding and training programs as well as private events.

COMING OUT MONOLOGUES
The Coming Out Monologues celebrates real LGBTQ+ coming out stories and community connection. The first half features actors bringing these stories to life on stage, followed by an open mic where attendees can share their own experiences. All while raising funds for scholarships and emergency crisis aid for LGBTQ+ students at the University of Houston. Check the comments for show details and a discount code for Coming Out Monologues!

ABOUT FRANK:
Frank De Oro is a board member of the University of Houston LGBTQ+ Alumni Network and Director of the Coming Out Monologues. He’s active across Houston’s nonprofit community, including work with the Diana Foundation and Amistades Houston, advocating for visibility, representation, and support for LGBTQ+ and Latino communities. With a theater background that began in his teens and continued through college in performance and directing, Frank returned to the director’s chair after national cuts to DEI programs reduced spaces for LGBTQ+ storytelling. He brought back the Coming Out Monologues to center real voices and raise funds for scholarships and emergency crisis aid for LGBTQ+ students at UH.

This Friday may be our sweetest Improv Implosion yet. We're thrilled to welcome Michelle Lopez, founder of Cake Life Co., as a featured monologist. We'll be coming up with comedy scenes, live, based on some of her stories.

Michelle Lopez is the founder and cake artist behind Cake Life Co., a Houston bakery café known for transforming celebrations into edible works of art.
After discovering her passion for baking as a teenager and honing her craft through culinary training, Michelle built a studio where creativity, flavor, and design come together.

Thanks to our audience assembly volunteer and for everyone who came out to Guilty Pleasures yesterday for Roger to try his first "Land, Air, Sea" (Burger, McChicken, Filet-o-Fish) from the McDonald's secret menu. Eating that was something anyone should only experience once, but the Guilty Pleasures Improv Show is something to experience every week (and it's probably healthier.)
