The Houston Life segment featuring HueMan:Shelter is a Bronze Telly Award winner.

The KPRC 2 feature was recognized in the General Public Interest & Awareness category for storytelling that raises awareness and informs audiences around a cause or event.

We’re grateful to producer Sabiha Mahmood, photographer Lenny Juarez, and the Houston Life team for sharing the HueMan:Shelter story with care and helping bring this public art initiative to a wider audience.

Since launching across Midtown, HueMan:Shelter has invited residents and visitors alike to experience public space differently through storytelling, lived experience, and community collaboration.

According to survey responses, 88% of participants said the installations have enlivened Midtown.
