When I was in college, I was captivated by a painting at a nearby art museum: “The River Seine at Chatou” by Andre Derain. No matter what my mood, when I looked at it, I smiled. When I left, I felt happy. My goal as an artist is to do for others what Derain did for me...to lighten a mood and bring a smile….a pretty top-knotch way to make a living in my book!

I haven’t been posting a lot because I’ve been so busy painting! Having so much fun with this project. And it’s full of surprises for people, including these two! She purchased three cards to showcase their 4-legged loves as an anniversary gift to her partner. It was so fun being a part of the unveiling of the surprise. ❤️

Open studio this Saturday (April 11th)! Come see how fun everything is looking in my studio! It’s going to be such a great deck of cards thanks to all of my clients who jumped on board to support me! Y’all are the best!! 🎉

Say hello to Rodney! He is a three legged pup that is very much loved by his family. My studio is starting to look pretty decked out with 13 playing card paintings done now! If you’re local or in the Houston area, you should stop by and have a look. ❤️ Trying to do 12 more before my show at the beginning of June at Silver Street. Not sure I can paint that fast but we will see. 🙏

Only five cards have not been claimed to build this deck! Thank you to all of my clients that have signed on to be a part of this project. I’m working to make the most whimsical and fun deck of cards for you. 😊

When I finish each one, I send it to my mom in an email. She likes to keep up with my projects and is not on social media. She says her favorite part is finding out all of their names. ❤️
