The first few weeks in my art room. It’s been taking a bit of adjusting to be teaching art to elementary students but also in a homeschool setting. Lots of learning 🩷 but during my time away I focused on healing, my self worth, and confidence as a teacher. Looking forward to finding out how this path will unfold 🦋

Welcome to the 40s club my handsome, smart, funny, supportive husband! Ours 30s were pretty amazing, I look forward to see what our 40s will bring. Respect and take care of the other beings that call earth home 🫶🏻

At Brazos Bend State Park, many animals call the park home.
Every insect, bird, mammal, and reptile has a job to do that keeps the biodiversity healthy and balanced.

This is a gorgeous water moccasin, or cottonmouth, giving a warning that it doesn’t want to be messed with.
Contrary to belief, these animals are not aggressive. However, like many animals, they will defend themselves when cornered, so be sure to give wild animals their space!
