More work from the vault. A mixture of development and progress. I love the look and feel of comic pencil artwork. I have found that utilizing blue line or red line pencils as an under drawing has helped me build up a better ability for adding details and structures to my drawings.

I am continuously developing a style and approach to drawing comic art in my own unique way. These comic pencil drawings are just works in various stages of progress. They represent my basic style and method of drawing comics. Hopefully I can allow myself to be influenced by my inspirations and influences and still try to add something new.

I’ve been drawing some characters from the series NARUTO in my style recently. It’s been fun and I’m really enjoying the process.

I have always loved the idea of combining western and eastern comic styles together in my own art! I wonder what will be the next character that I draw from Kishimoto sensei’s classic series!

Developing a unique voice and style requires patience and dedication. It might even require a unique point of view. You are often combining all of your experiences and influences together to create something special. Something that can be labeled as your own.

I drew my favorite character a while ago. Incorporating different comic art elements was the goal. Adapting master Kishimoto’s excellent style into my own art was not an easy task. I always enjoy finding more ways to grow and learn. Looking forward to revisiting more of Kishimoto Sensei’s characters in the future!
