Newst finished piece- inspired by the end of summer and this strange handmade pot I found at the thrift store. Someone must have donated their old projects or those of a loved one because there was a massive collection of similar work- this one in particular spoke to me. The mechanics of the arrangement are disguised and elevated so you can still peer through the holes in the bowl. Id like to think the original potter wanted them to be a focal point and wanted the admirer to peek through the holes so I wanted to keep them clear.
As usual, I love hiding lots of bugs in my work. See how many you can spot! Hint: there are 7 real specimens and one faux one leaving a slimey little trail. (One beetle, one brown widow, two butterflies, one American cockroach, two dainty bees and a snail.)
Any way you turn it there is something new to look at!
