PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Casting and seeking crew for "Stay," an expansive, grounded romantic drama about the long haul of love. Rather than ending when feelings are finally confessed, the film uses a life-altering crisis as a doorway into the realities of actual commitment - grief, emotional miscommunication, domestic life, and learning how to choose each other every day.

CREATIVES AND CREW

Director of Photography
Priority given to DPs with their own camera package. Kit Fee: $50–$75/day (dependent on kit contents).
Visual Direction: The film thrives on a natural, organic image that breathes with the actors rather than feeling overly mechanical or Steadicam-heavy.
Preferred Camera Systems: Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K FF (Preferred), Blackmagic PYXIS 6K, RED Komodo-X 6K, or Sony FX6.
Lenses & Support: Fast Full Frame Cinema Primes (24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm, 135mm—with 35/50/85 covering the core dialogue/intimate scenes). Diffusion like Black Pro Mist (1/4 or 1/8) is ideal. Support includes Dana Dolly/Slider, DJI RS4 Pro Gimbal, and wireless monitoring.
Lead the visual language and camera department for Stay, working closely with the Director to create an intimate, grounded, and emotionally raw visual aesthetic.
Rate: $200 / day
Total Pay: $2,600 (est. 13 days of work)

Gaffer
Priority given to Gaffers with their own lighting & grip equipment. Kit Fee: $40-$60/day (dependent on kit contents).
Lighting Philosophy: Stay relies heavily on enhancing motivated practical lighting (lamps, string lights, golden hour, streetlights, window shafts, rain, moonlight) and shaping contrast rather than overpowering scenes.
Ideal Package Items:
Fixtures: Punchy Daylight/Bi-Color keys (e.g., Aputure 600D II / Evoke 900C, 300X), compact LEDs (Aputure 60X, MC Pros), and Tubes (Astera Titans / Pavotubes).
Modifiers and Tools: Large/Medium softboxes, Lantern 90, Fresnels, Spotlight attachments (for gallery/reading scenes), and a solid selection of diffusion (Grid Cloth, Magic Cloth, Silk, Opal).
Control and Grip: Heavy emphasis on Negative Fill (Floppies, solids, black cloth) to build contrast. Standard flags, 10–12 C-Stands, combo stands, clamps, and power distribution. Lead the lighting department, collaborating closely with the DP to shape and execute an organic atmospheric visual

Sound Recordist / Boom Op

The tiny self-tape mistake costing you (or your child) the role... 🎬🎭
Casting directors decide if they like an actor within the first 10 seconds of an audition video. If the framing is off, the lighting is flat, or the pacing of the first line drags, they click next. This weekend, I am hosting a live, 60-minute Zoom Masterclass: The Audition Room Blueprint.I am pulling back the curtain on exactly what directors look for when casting projects. We will break down:How to dissect a script for "hidden clues" in the text. The psychological tricks to beat audition anxiety.Technical setup secrets to make a cheap phone look like a Hollywood studio.Because I want to give direct feedback and answer questions live, I am strictly capping each live session at 20 total actors.Tickets are only $25. I am running 4 separate sessions across Saturday and Sunday so you can pick the time that fits your weekend schedule perfectly.
👇 Comment "AUDITION" right now, and my assistant will instantly slide into your DMs with the weekend schedule so you can grab your virtual seat before they fill up!

Hey parents, Coach Brave here. If you are worried about your kid's screen time this week, I have a quick fix. This Saturday and Sunday, I am hosting a private, live 90-minute virtual workshop called The 90-Minute Short Film Blueprint.I am taking exactly 10 creative kids per session and teaching them how to turn any smartphone into a Hollywood production studio. They are going to learn how to script, how to shot-list, and how to frame a scene like a real movie director—using items right inside your house. No expensive software. No complicated tech. Just pure, active creation.Tickets are only $30, but I am strictly capping this at 10 seats per session so I can answer every single kid's questions live. Comment the word WORKSHOP right now, and I’ll DM you the link to grab a seat before they sell out today.
