Houston Dance Works is conveniently located for the Oak Forest, Garden Oaks, Shady Acres, Timbergrove, Heights, and surrounding areas. Houston Dance Works provides positive, quality dance instruction to children from the age of two years old to adult. Every child deserves the opportunity to be a part of an extra-curricular activity that is fun and promotes creativity and an increased level of self

esteem. Our classes address the needs of each dancer from beginner to advanced. We offer a variety of classes including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Drill Team Prep, Mommy and Me, and more! We stress proper behavior, respect for self and others, performing skills, proper body conditioning, and responsibility.

💜 HDW Gives Back 💜

This summer, we're proud to support a donation drive organized by one of our very own dancers, Ava! We invite all of our HDW families to join us in making a difference by donating throughout the summer session.

📦 Donation boxes will be available at the studio starting on the first day of summer classes and will remain available all summer long.

We are so proud of Ava for leading this initiative and can't wait to see our dance community come together to support this meaningful cause. Every donation makes a difference!

😂 Last Day of Pre-ACC Fun! 😂

We wrapped up our final Pre-ACC class of the season with a challenge that had everyone laughing!

Ms. Kaytee put her listening skills to the test by trying to guess each dancer based solely on the sound of their voice. Some dancers were easy to identify, while others completely surprised her! 🤣

It was the perfect way to celebrate a year of hard work, growth, and friendships. We love creating special memories with our dancers, and this challenge was definitely one for the books.

Last week, we wrapped up our final Parent & Me classes of the season, and what a wonderful year it has been! 🥰
Our littlest dancers received a special certificate from Ms. Belle to celebrate all of their hard work, growth, and participation throughout the year. From exploring movement and music to creating special memories with their grown-ups, these classes have been filled with smiles, laughter, and learning.
We have had so much fun watching our youngest dancers build confidence, develop new skills, and fall in love with dance in such a nurturing environment.
Thank you to all of our amazing families for sharing this special experience with us. We are so proud of every tiny dancer and can't wait to see what they accomplish next! ✨🩰

🩰 Ballet Showcase 2026 🩰

On May 22, our Accelerated Program dancers had the opportunity to participate in a Ballet Showcase, where they performed three ballet variations they have been working diligently on throughout the season.

Experiences like this are an important part of a dancer's training journey. Not only do dancers gain valuable performance experience, but they also receive constructive critiques and feedback from industry professionals that help them refine their technique, artistry, and stage presence.

We are so proud of these dancers for embracing the learning process, and challenging themselves to grow. Opportunities like this help take their training to the next level and prepare them for future success both in and out of the studio.

Congratulations to all who participated, we can't wait to see where your hard work takes you next! ✨

✨ WHO IS READY FOR RECITAL WEEK?! ✨

The countdown is over, and we can't wait to see our dancers shine on stage! We are so proud of all the hard work, dedication, and excitement that has gone into preparing for this special week.

📧 A reminder that the Recital Packet containing all final recital information has been sent to parent emails. Please be sure to review it carefully before heading to rehearsals and performances.

🚨 Important Reminder:
Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, June 3, our staff will be out of the studio and working at the University of Houston for rehearsals and recital events. During this time, the best way to reach us will be by email. Please note that response times may be longer than usual as our team focuses on making recital week a wonderful experience for all of our dancers and families.

Some moments remind us just how special the HDW family truly is. ❤️

Watching our alumni return to the studio and share the floor with our current dancers in contemporary class with Ms. Belle was a beautiful full-circle moment. Seeing generations of dancers connected through their love of dance is something we never take for granted.

No matter how many years pass, the friendships, memories, and lessons built within these walls remain. We are so grateful to the dancers who came back to inspire, encourage, and dance alongside the next generation of HDW dancers.

Once an HDW dancer, always an HDW dancer. ✨
