One of the biggest things we see dance give children has very little to do with dance.

It’s confidence. And I don’t mean just the confidence to get on a stage and perform.
We see them start speaking up. We see them walk into a room with their head held high because they know they have done something difficult before and figured it out. A child who used to stand in the back starts moving toward the front.

Those are the moments we really love. Because eventually, that confidence leaves the dance studio with them.

Dance is BACK! Fall classes start today at KDT!

We get to watch dancers come in at the beginning of the season with new goals, new classes, sometimes new nerves, and a whole lot of excitement. Then, little by little, they settle in, make friends, get comfortable, and start finding their place.

That’s really what we hope every dancer finds here at KDT—not just a class, but a place where they feel comfortable being themselves, challenged to grow, and excited to come back each week.

1. Summer is a low pressure time of year to see if dance is a good fit.
