Name: Miguel
Species: Morelet's Crocodile (Crocodylus morletii)
Group: Tropical Trail

You know him, you love him, it's Miguel the Morelet's Crocodile!🐊 In the famous words of Steve Irwin, "CROCS RULE!" Steve was always a major inspiration for me and seeing him work with crocodiles made me want to one day follow in his footsteps. Thanks to starting Didgeri Zoo I was finally able to achieve that goal with a crocodile that is native to same place as my family. Morelet's Crocodiles are found on the east coast of Mexico to the Yucatan peninsula in freshwater environments such as swamps and lakes. They are 1 of 3 crocodiles native to North America with the American Crocodile and Cuban Crocodile being the other 2. Because Miguel is still a baby his diet mostly consist of insects, small fish, shrimp and baby mice. You can always see Miguel at our pop up market appearances and if you book us for any event. Keep up with the zoo because soon Miguel won't be the only crocodilian.

Name: Terri
Species:Northern Blue Tongue Skink (Tiliqua scincoides intermedia)
Group: Outback Pack

Next up is one of my favorite Australian reptiles. People often confuse Blue Tongue Skinks for snakes but in reality they are lizards. A unique adaptation they have is their namesake Blue Tongue which they stick out in order to scare and confuse predators. Terri is part of our Australian Big 3.

Name: Billy The Frilly
Species: Frilled Dragon (Chlamydosaurus kingii)
Group: Outback Pack

Billy is a Frilled Dragon also known as a Frill Neck Lizard which native to Northern Australia and New Guinea. Frilled Dragons are medium sized arboreal lizards that are found in rainforest and savannahs on trees. They are carnivores that eat bugs, small mammals, and lizards. Unlike many Filled Dragons Billy is extremely tame and loves climbing on top peoples heads, for this reason we don't allow small children to handle him because he moved a lot. His favorite food is crickets, dubia roaches and pinky mice. Billy is a member of our Australian Big 3.

I should have done this a long time ago so while I'm out of town I will introduce each member of our zoo daily. Let's start with one of our most popular ambassadors and if you have had us at a party or other events you have definitely met him.

Name: Ozzie
Species: Central Bearded Dragon (Pogona vitticeps)
Group: Outback Pack

Ozzie is a Central Bearded Dragon which comes from the heart of Australia. Bearded Dragons are medium sized arboreal lizards often found on top of fence post and in trees. They are opportunistic omnivores that absolutely love to eat bugs. Ozzie is an easy going dragon and is often the lizard we use to help people feel more comfortable with reptiles. His favorite food is crickets, dubia roaches and spring mix. He was adopted from a rescue in Houston called Gina's Heart of Gold Reptile Rescue. He spends most of his time basking in his massive Pop-up Chameleon enclosure taking in the Texas sun. Ozzie is a member of our Australian Big 3.

Had the absolute honor of meeting Bob Myers of the The Rattlesnake Museum in Old Town Albuquerque. This was an amazing place to visit and it has one of the most diverse collections of Rattlesnakes I've ever seen. They are currently running for the best museum in Albuquerque so let's help them out by scanning the QR code (in the second picture) and voting for them. I highly recommend this place if you ever pass through Albuquerque.
