We are thrilled to have Child of Night in Houston on 7/16!
For our fellow Houstonians who are not aware; there is a huge revival going on worldwide, a revival of the darkwave 80’s and post-punk music. There are so many new bands and amazing artists in this underground world of deliciously dark sounds. No emo, ebm or cyber punk, sorry guys.
We feel that Houston is in need of a scene for this, and the only way to get one going is to start one, so we are trying to build one as long as we are living here. Rome was certainly not built over night, but we have noticed the attendance at our events growing! And it’s pretty amazing to see that.
We were going to throw in the towel and give up on even trying but then something magical will happen at a previous event we’ve hosted, and then we are granted hope of a better local scene for the love of this “ revival”. You guys help us create this atmosphere just by showing up to these shows. So we hope to keep seeing your faces.
Most importantly, Tearful Moon doesn’t want to be the only local support for these traveling bands. We need more of you local artists to perform, and we hope to see more projects being born/bred in Houston to support not just acts traveling from all over the US, but from Europe as well! ❤️ We hope to inspire some of you to make music of your own, and be brave enough to be on stage.
