🎵 We want Mercury to be the friendliest arts organization in Houston...

That means creating concerts where you feel comfortable asking questions. Where you can discover something new without feeling like you’re supposed to already know it, and our musicians feel like people, not distant figures on a stage.

We believe great music belongs to everyone.

So whether you’re a lifelong concertgoer, a curious first-timer, or somewhere in between, there’s a place for you here!

🎻What did Mozart actually hear?

At Mercury, we perform music on historical instruments, or modern reproductions of instruments from the period when the music was written. That means different strings, different bows, different winds, and different approaches to making sound.

The result isn’t about making the music feel old. It’s about getting closer to the sounds and possibilities that shaped the music in the first place. For Mozart, Haydn, Bach, and the composers who came before and after them, the instruments were part of the story.

Come hear the difference for yourself.
