Grateful List 100124:

1. I stepped into 51 on September 21. Thanking God.
2. I had a vision for my birthday event this year, and God brought it home WAY better than I had imagined.
3. My mom was able to witness and be a major part of this celebration and truly enjoyed the tribute to Dad. 🎖
4. My brother's touching tribute to our mom, giving her her flowers, was just beautiful. He also gave a heartfelt tribute to our late cousin Ced aka Maxwell. 💚
5. My son asked me for my autograph after we performed. So cute.
6. My band, Southern Fried Sauce, brought the heat, the funk, and the groove to our entire concert. It was truly a great show!
7. The support and vibe was thick and genuine.
8. We had a real live band concert in my living room, y'all!
9. I gotta stop being so modest and start hyping my house parties up more! They are always a worthy experience! 🔥

Mecca Meschet Mitchell

Today, we celebrate Mecca Meschet Mitchell, she is a singer, poet, brand ambassador, podcaster and radio personality. She grew up an Air Force brat and has lived all over the world including Scotland and graduated high school in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Her singing style is sultry, ranging from Jill Scott to Erykah Badu. She has made appearances around the state of Texas, performing at local venues and poetry clubs in Houston, Galveston, and San Antonio. She has also performed in New Orleans, Louisiana and Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Mecca Meschet has been featured on Voyage Houston several times. She stays active as a member of The Black Girls Social Club and is also an Ambassador for ™️ Dance Party. She had a song released on iTunes called “You Got It”, recorded a bounce remix on YouTube called “GoodFoot” and currently has a song streaming called “Vibe”. She is a former member of The Level One Band of Houston. She is the creator of the Pinto Beanz N Cake podcast, co-creator/host of the video show Spicy Soul Vibez w/ Meschèt & LaFaye, and co-creator/host/creative director of the radio show Brown Sugar Xpress w/ Raine & Meschèt.

A date r**e survivor, Mecca has a passion to give back to the community by empowering and inspiring women. One of her future goals is to bring awareness to multiple myeloma and Alzheimer’s.

Mecca earned her BBA in Accounting from Prairie View A&M University and MBA from Texas Woman’s University. She is currently working toward her DBA in Entrepreneurship and Business Management.

Mecca is a former Mediator and Engagement Officer and currently proudly serves as the Vice President for the Beta Beta Chapter of Sigma Chi Psi Sorority, Inc , a sorority for women pursuing their degree online.

She is a foodie at heart and loves grilled oysters, Mexican food and sushi! She has a 24 year-old son and in her down time enjoys movies, cruises, concerts, writing music, planning events and hosting parties. Catch her on Amazon Prime in the movie “Unspoken Words”.
