Through Houston Cecilia Chamber Choir’s Community Is Our Song initiative, we are proud to share our music beyond the concert stage and engage with the greater Houston community.

Our recent community engagement at Constellation Field with the Sugar Land Space Cowboys provided an opportunity for Houston Cecilia to sing the National Anthem and represent our organization through the collective voice of our choristers.

This special moment reflects the heart of our outreach efforts: using music to create connection, celebrate community, and build meaningful partnerships. Through performance, education, and collaboration, Houston Cecilia continues to support the cultural life of Houston one musical note at a time.

Houston Cecilia Board Members recently gathered to plan and prepare for our 2026–2027 concert season. While enjoying the summer months, we are hard at work organizing another season of beautiful music for our wonderful choristers and audiences.

We are grateful for the dedication, ideas, and collaboration of our board members as we look ahead to new performances, meaningful musical experiences, and continued growth for our organization.

We’re headed to the ballpark.

Houston Cecilia Chamber Choir is honored to sing the National Anthem at the Space Cowboys game on June 11 as part of our Community Is Our Song outreach initiative.

We believe music has the power to bring people together, strengthen community, and create moments of connection that stay with us long after the final note. We are excited to share this experience with the Houston community and celebrate an evening of baseball, music, and hometown spirit.

Houston Cecilia Chamber Choir proudly congratulates our collaborative pianist, Dr. Hangfong Au, on a beautiful and inspiring performance in *Dvořák and Romance* as part of the All Saints Bravura Concert Series. 🎶✨

Together with violinist Ricardo de Mello, Dr. Au brought artistry, warmth, and virtuosity to an unforgettable evening of music, including a moving performance of Dvořák’s beloved *Sonatina* for violin and piano.

We are grateful for Dr. Au’s continued musicianship, dedication, and contributions to the musical community, and we celebrate this wonderful concert achievement. Bravo! 🎻🎹

Houston Cecilia Chamber Choir is proud to recognize and support our collaborative pianist, Dr. Hangfong Au, whose artistry, musicianship, and dedication continue to enrich our ensemble and musical community.

Tomorrow, Dr. Au will join violinist Ricardo de Mello for Dvořák and Romance as part of the All Saints Bravura Concert Series. The program explores the expressive beauty and virtuosity of violin and piano through music filled with lyricism, warmth, and Romantic character, including Dvořák’s beloved Sonatina.

Houston Cecilia Chamber Choir recently concluded its 2025–2026 season with a beautiful performance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Missa Brevis in D Major. The evening was filled with wonderful energy, artistry, and joy, making this final concert especially meaningful.

We are deeply grateful to our soloists, Board of Directors, student interns, supporters, and friends who helped make this season so special. We also extend our sincere appreciation to St. Theresa Catholic Church and Kevin M. Clarke for their generous hospitality and support in helping bring this concert to life.
From opening the season with Missa Criolla to concluding with Missa Brevis, this year brought challenge, beauty, growth, and unforgettable musical experiences. We are sharing a few candid moments from the concert and warm up rehearsal with the wonderful choristers who made this season possible.

As we conclude this season, we look forward with excitement and gratitude to the opportunities, collaborations, and music making that await in our 2026–2027 season. 🎶

As Houston Cecilia Chamber Choir prepares for tomorrow evening’s concert, we are excited to share this short clip from the Hosanna section of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Missa Brevis in D Major (K. 194).

Composed in 1774, this joyful and energetic setting reflects Mozart’s early brilliance through vibrant choral writing, clarity of texture, and exuberant praise. The Hosanna bursts forth with celebration and vitality, capturing the spirit of worship and joy at the heart of the Mass.

We invite you to join us for an evening of choral masterworks featuring music by Mozart, Barber, Palestrina, and Ramos.
