Uptown Dance Centre Houston’s premier dance school, where movement becomes art. Our school was established in order to bring the highest quality of dance training in Houston.

As a dance performance training school with focus in ballet technique, Uptown Dance Centre offers a broad range of classes for all ages, combining the traditions and heritage of dance with the most current and innovative trends in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop, pas de deux, ballet variations, contemporary, Pilates, and yoga. In addition, Uptown Dance Centre has a pre-professional stud

ent company for those who may wish to pursue a professional career in dance, giving them more training opportunities and performance exposure. We are interested in training dancers of all levels and abilities to bring them to their fullest potential as a dancer, to foster a life-long love and appreciation of dance, and to provide a quality performance experience which will instill confidence and poise. We continually evaluates each student’s progress and objectives so they can be placed in a class where they will thrive and be challenged. Every professional instructor we employ is trained in both the styles of his/her specialty and educational methods. Our goal is to bring out the dancer in every student who walks through our doors. Uptown Dance Centre prides itself in excellence, discipline, and passion for the art of dance.

Join us for our 26th Season at Uptown Dance Centre
As the school year begins, so does an exciting new dance season at Uptown Dance Centre!

We’re thrilled to welcome both new and returning students back to the studio, where creativity, discipline, and a love of movement come to life.

Our fall programs offer a wide variety of classes for all ages and skill levels—from tiny dancers just starting out, to dedicated students training in ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, modern, pointe, variations, musical theater and more.

With professional instruction in a warm and encouraging environment, Uptown Dance Centre is the perfect place to learn, grow, and shine. Parents are always welcome into the studio to watch their dancer.

One of the most anticipated events of the year is our annual production of The Nutcracker a magical holiday tradition that gives dancers of all levels the chance to perform on stage in a fulllength ballet.
