Fauna Flux Performance Arts Fauna is an artist out of HTX that practiced in LED hooping and fire dancing. Along with fire hooping and dragon staff, she is immersed deeply in the arts!

Fauna Flux AKA Kelsea Denoncourt

Fauna began hula hooping about 4 years ago and since then has fallen in love with the Performance Arts all over again! Hooping became dragon staff and then those were lit on fire... and so it all began. She specializes in LED hoop performing along with fire hoop and dragon staff, but has her own fun twist on each prop. Using acro and her feet, Fauna enjoys using h

er full body to immerse herself in each flow experience. Along with her profession, Fauna is consistently learning new skills like aerial silks and going to workshops to keep her acts fresh. She wants to be known for getting lost in a playful and engaging flow, always with a smile :)

We made our own costume designs and got creative with what being a gogo meant. Wearing full pants, doing alien make up, allowing ideas to flow and evolve. I’m grateful for the time that we had ❤️ And looking forward to what the future brings for performing!!!

Eskrima/Kali is a Filipino Martial Art that emphasizes fighting with sticks, knives and hands. And being able to interchange between. Here, we practice slowly and carefully since even sticks can be very dangerous.

Just like in the movies, an enemy may attack with a weapon. Once disarmed, the fight continues!! It’s ain’t over till it’s over could not be more true. It’s almost like a self-defense dance. Becoming in tune with your partner/attackers movements will allow you to dodge and find openings to strike. Feels good to be back after a long quarantine!!
