HBT is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Duncan Sheik.

Duncan was a brilliant writer whose works helped transform an entire generation of contemporary musical theatre. And we will always be grateful for the extraordinary privilege of collaborating with him on American Psycho.

We extend our deepest condolences to Duncan’s family, friends, colleagues, and all those touched by his remarkable artistry. His loss will be deeply felt by all those he impacted.

2026 Houston Press - Houston Theatre Awards! 🏅🎭 This season we received 2 wins and 7 nominations, representing our productions of American Psycho and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

We’re so honored to be recognized among the many exceptional theatres and artists in our vibrant arts community of Houston.

It takes over 100 Houstonians to make our summer productions possible each year, so thank you to the incredible artists, creatives, crew, and staff who pour their hearts into making our shows possible.

And thank you to the audiences who support us! 💙
