Welcome Vela Ensemble! We look forward to promoting and attending your performances and events.

Hi everyone!! We're excited to get our page up and running for Vela Ensemble!

Based in Houston, Vela Ensemble is a new chamber collective comprising some of the city’s most prominent musicians: Tori Yaussy, Emily Moscoso, Katie Angielczyk, and Haley Houk. Dedicated to evolving the wind chamber tradition, the group breathes new life into the repertoire by pairing quintessential masterpieces with lesser-known works through flexible instrumentation and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Driven by a core mission of education and community engagement, we are thrilled to launch our first official season this fall. We invite you to follow our journey and engage with us on Instagram for updates on upcoming performances and collaborations.

🎻 When young people lead with purpose, entire communities benefit.

NAMI Greater Houston is honored to support an inspiring evening of classical music performed by talented teen musicians who are using their passion and artistry to raise awareness and support for mental health.

This special fundraising concert demonstrates that music has the power not only to inspire—but also to foster hope, compassion, and meaningful conversations about mental wellness.

Proceeds from the evening will help NAMI Greater Houston continue providing free mental health education, peer support, advocacy, and community programs.

We invite our colleagues, community partners, advocates, and friends to join us for an unforgettable evening where music meets purpose and every note helps build a stronger, healthier community.

Together, we can make mental health a priority for all.
