Two weeks since the opening of Hope is a Discipline, and I’m still reflecting on the experience.
Thank you to the curators stayclosetay & Josie Pickens , fellow artists lisa e Mich Stevenson Lovie Olivia , and everyone who spent time with the work. It was meaningful to be part of an exhibition that created space for conversation, reflection, and imagining what is possible.
In this body of work, gardening became a way to think about hope. Breaking ground, preparing the soil, planting seeds, tending to growth, and continuing the work even when change isn’t immediately visible.
Hope Is a Discipline reminds us that hope is not passive; it is something we practice through persistence, care, and belief in what can grow over time.
Thank you for being part of it. 🌱
Hope is a Discipline on view till July 17th Community Artists' Collective
