My neighbor was mowing their lawn around 6 P.M., and I know this might sound dramatic, but it honestly bothered me more than I expected.
I get that people have busy schedules, and sometimes yard work has to happen whenever there’s time. Not everyone can mow in the middle of the day, and I understand that.
But after a long week, that early evening time is when a lot of people are trying to eat dinner, relax, or finally enjoy a little quiet. So hearing a mower going for a while right outside can feel pretty frustrating.
I’m not saying people should never do yard work in the evening. I just think there’s a balance between taking care of your property and being mindful of the people living nearby.
Maybe I’m overthinking it, but I do feel like neighborhood courtesy matters, especially when it comes to noise.
Be honest, would mowing around dinner time bother you, or is 6 P.M. still a totally reasonable time?

Right a question on tipping. Don't jump in just yet!
I'm in Bermuda, a British territory yet very close to America.
Most places add a "discretionary" service charge to the bill like this (17-18% seems the norm) "for your convenience".
Yet they still seem to expect a tip. When using a card the button options are 10, 15, 20% with no extra tip as something you have you physically enter. Here you have to write a total and 0 was not looked at favourably!
Surely a sevice charge IS a tip?
Edit: Just to add; not everywhere did this. So it's not universal, which makes it more confusing/annoying.

I am honestly disgusted right now…

I’m in Tampa trying to enjoy a nice sunset cruise, walk out onto the pier after getting my tickets, and I’m immediately greeted by this some guy proudly displaying a whole string of dead fish just lying all over the dock like it’s normal.

This is a public pier where families and tourists walk! Who wants to see a pile of dead, smelly fish right before getting on a boat for a romantic sunset? The smell alone is nauseating.

These people shouldn’t even be allowed to fish here. Catch and release only! There is zero reason they need to take these fish home. Just throw them back in the water where they belong instead of turning the pier into a slaughterhouse.

The lack of consideration and class is actually insane. Some of us are trying to enjoy a beautiful evening and these fishermen are ruining it for everyone else.

This behavior is completely unacceptable.

The wonderful state of Illinois sent me a letter stating my taxes were filed incorrectly, to which they corrected, and told us we now owe them a sum of $1.
Now this really irritated me. Talk about government bureaucracy wasting my time. I thought about writing mean things on the check i paid them with, but figured I would play their own game....
I sent them a check for $2. Boom! Now you deal with that stupid petty crap!
Today we got our paperwork and $1 refund 😎
Victory is mine.

A Starbucks employee was talking about my Cybertruck to a customer and she thought I couldn’t hear her. I called corporate and she will be fired by the end of the day.

I literally heard the employee talking shi about my Cybertruck to a customer saying it’s ugly among other things. I had my window down and could very clearly hear the entire conversation the employee was having with the customer in front of me. Why do you care this much about my vehicle to express your hate to a customer?

Then she literally asked me why I would buy a Cybertruck. I said it’s my 5th Tesla, I have solar, I don’t have to buy gas.

“So you are rich.” I said how much do you think the Cybertruck cost? It’s not even the most expensive Tesla. She had no clue. Just an uneducated hater talking s**t.

Such a weird experience to have in a professional scenario. I wouldn’t mind this conversation with a random Tesla hater but an employee of Starbucks? Unacceptable.

Not very professional at all. I assume this person is very miserable to be so judgmental of something that doesn’t affect her life. I feel sorry for her. It’s also kinda wild she is asking me if I’m rich as she serves $7 coffee to people all day.

Am I wrong for walking out of a restaurant because of their tipping sign on the front door?

I always tip. Twenty percent minimum, more if the service is great. I've worked service jobs. I know the deal.

But yesterday I walked up to a restaurant and this sign was taped to the front window. Big handwritten letters facing the sidewalk. "Our servers make $3.50/hr... If you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to dine out."

I read it, turned around, and left.

I'm not tipping because a window guilt trip bullied me into it before I even touched a menu. I'm not subsidizing your business model because you opened a restaurant without paying your staff a living wage. The sign didn't say "great service deserves great tips." It said "pay our payroll or you're a bad person."

If you can't pay your waiters enough to survive without emotionally manipulating every customer who walks past your storefront, maybe don't open a business.

Am I wrong for walking out? Or is a restaurant that shames you on the front door just a failing business asking passersby to cover its mistakes?

I’m honestly mad and confused at the same time… I said leave it at the door, so why are my groceries dumped at the bottom of the stairs like this? 😡

What part of “leave at door” means stack everything on the stairs and make me carry it the rest of the way myself? There’s water, paper towels, bags, cereal, coffee, everything just left there like the job was halfway done and that was good enough.

I really don’t understand the thought process. If I paid for delivery, why am I still doing the hardest part? And why leave it in a way that blocks the stairs and makes it even more annoying to bring inside?

I get that deliveries can be heavy, but if you accept the order, at least finish it the right way. Don’t just dump everything on the stairs, take a picture, and call it delivered.

Would this make anyone else mad, or am I wrong for expecting my order to actually be left at my door?
