Dear SCIS Patrons,
After several years of being on the market, the SCIS Ownership Group has accepted an offer to purchase the rink. It is anticipated that the sale will close on October 10, 2014. It is not known by the current SCIS Ownership Group at this time whether the ice rink will remain open or closed after October 10th.
As the sale is pending, all skating programs scheduled through October 9, 2014, will occur as scheduled. Customers who have paid for programs that extend beyond this date will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. Refunds are not available immediately, however, they will be issued after October 10, 2014. A refund process will be announced shortly. Additionally, we will work with appropriate groups for an orderly removal of personal property.
We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the skating and hockey communities and all the others who have supported the Space City Ice Station for so many years. Although it has been difficult and challenging at times to keep the rink operating, through it all it has been our privilege to serve the Clear Lake community.
