28 years ago I made a commitment to seek Serenity, Courage, and Wisdom... to evolve past learned destructive relationship patterns, to untangle my emotional well-being from others, to live as a healthy, autonomous being... happy, joyous and free. Thank you to Lois W. and her husband who understood that there was more than just sobriety... there was the family afterwards. I do not regret a single moment I have spent in the rooms of Al-Anon.

Made the decision to give up on wrapping paper and gift bags 5 years ago... I make a handful of reusable cloth bags each year... this year is the first year I have enough gift bags for all but one giant gift... and I'll be able to use these for decades!

Cast iron swiss-bacon-potato galette... had a few Yukons a bit past their prime, couple of strips of bacon that needed to get used fast, and a pre-made pie crust hanging out in the bottom drawer of the fridge... it's dinner and I'm excited!
