This Grecian Princess refused to marry the Roman Emperor, Diocletian, after he was captivated by her beauty. For this decline, and promise to her Christian faith, she was tortured. She eventually was martyred via decapitation.

St. Kateri Tekakwitha! As blonde and pasty as I am, I ADORED her when I was in elementary school! The movie “Pocahontas” had hit theaters, so, all I wanted to do every day was dress up in my Indian costume, paddle my canoe (the couch and a broom), and gather corn. And pray. Haha!

I watched her story on the CCC cartoon movies as a kid, and she has always been one of my favorites! Her sweet humility has inspired me since childhood.

I was blessed to be able to visit Lourdes, and stand on the very earth that she prayed on 🥰

May saints like her, help draw us ever nearer to Christ 💜

Halo and border are a shiny solid gold, and the rest, a whimsical mix of mostly watercolors, a LITTLE pen, and, you guessed it!… more gold!

The gold in the lettering was her idea (I’d tag her, but she is giving this as a gift, so I’m unsure!!), and WOW 🤩
