National Choreography Month ( Nachmo) is a performance collective that aims at producing works through various networks including virtual platforms and live performances. Nachmo Texas aims at quilting the diverse dance ethnoscape of the State. Staying in tune with NACHMO’s mission, the Texas hub aims to make the platform accessible to dance makers, choreographers, performers, and dance writers from all backgrounds to engage in the creative process of performance, reflection, and education.

The January Challenge is the foundation of all that is NACHMO. It is our annual challenge to inspire dancers, choreographers, and movement enthusiasts to choreograph by providing a month-long deadline to complete their work and connect it to a community of peers.
