CHANGES TO GALVESTON BAY SONGWRITERS FESTIVAL:

We are just over two weeks away from our second Galveston Bay Songwriters Festival. Last year we had Harvey to contend with. This year we are unsure of the reason but, we haven't sold enough tickets to cover the costs of the artists. So many of you have spoken to us about how you were excited about the artists and schedule but that has not carried over to ticket sales.

We will be taking this week to make some necessary changes to the weekend which include relocation to an appropriate sized venue and a reduction in the lineup.
Although we are downsizing, we still plan on having a great lineup with some awesome music and a fun time with our friends.

Thank you all for your patience with us as we work out the next step for the Galveston Bay Songwriters Festival. If you have already purchased tickets we will be contacting you via email about the new plan and changes.

Kelly McGuire performed "Daddys and Daughters" at the Bat Cave on June 21, 2011. As usual, this song caused some tears.

Singer/Songwriter Kelly McGuire made a living at music for 15 years before starting to write songs. Now 5 albums later with songwriting awards, an Album of the Year award from the Texas Music Awards as well as nominations for Entertainer of the Year & Producer of the Year- he is living a dream! He currently resides in the Clear Lake/NASA area of Houston near Galveston Bay and many of his songs reflect the Gulf, Boats, Islands, Sailing, Beaches, Buffett, Belize and his years as a yacht broker. There are also fan favorites about Life, Love, Guitars, Daughters and Mom & Dad!

Kelly will perform at the Galveston Bay Songwriters Festival on Saturday September 29 from 6:15-7:15PM.

Singer/Songwriter Eric Erdman was born and raised along the shores of Mobile Bay, Alabama and it seems as if he has that water in his veins. His songs are introspective but fun, quirky but accessible, profound and palatable but they all seem to have sprung up from that salty Mobile water. He lets it all in and what comes back is a poet’s soul and a troubadour’s voice.
