For the ones rewriting the story. You don’t have to carry the chains of old patterns anymore. Let the light guide you into something entirely your own. ✨

Breaking free from generational trauma and stepping away from the heavy weight of other people’s expectations is a profound act of courage. It requires recognizing that the scripts handed down to you were written for survival, not for your actual fulfillment. ā€œThe Cycle Breakerā€ honors that sacred pivot; the moment you decide to put down the ancestral chains, stop performing for the approval of the past, and let your own inner light guide you toward a life that is authentically yours.
What archetype/part would you like to see next?

To the ones who feel everything: You are not 'too much.' You are a vessel of light in a world that needs your depth. 🌌

'The Empath' is a reminder that sensitivity is a strength, not a weakness. It is a profound instrument for navigating the human experience.
I’m currently gathering inspiration for the next cards in this deck. What affirmation or archetype do you need to see most right now?

✨ Your capacity to carry others’ burdens does not define your value. You are worthy of love that is shared, not earned through sacrifice. ✨
This piece, ā€˜The Caretaker,’ is the first in a new series of oracle/affirmation art I’m creating. I want to build a deck that acts as a mirror for our healing journeys, moving us from feeling ā€˜responsible for everything’ to standing in our own worth.
I’m curious what themes or ā€˜archetypes’ of our collective healing would you love to see in this deck?

ā€œIf I don’t do it, it won’t get done.ā€ ā€œIf I stop taking care of them, they’ll leave.ā€

Sound familiar? That’s the voice of the caretaker part, and it usually leads with a lot of fear. We fall into the paradox of thinking that fixing someone or carrying their weight is the ultimate proof of love.

But if we look closer, this is actually a survival strategy. Early on, we learned that approval from others felt safe, while rejection felt highly threatening. To keep us safe, our nervous systems adapted by becoming hyper-focused on everyone else’s needs.

The problem is that carrying others is harmful to both parties. It completely exhausts us,leaving our own voice without a seat at the table. And for the other person? It stunts their growth and strips away their autonomy.

The goal isn’t to stop caring. It’s to remind your nervous system that you are safe today, and that you can love someone deeply without over-functioning for them. You deserve relationships built on mutual love, not mutual obligation. šŸ¤

ā€œsoftness is strength
sensitivity is power
empathy is braveā€ ✨

As an artist, I’m drawn to visuals that balance opposites. As a clinician, I’m constantly reminded that we are rarely just one thing. This piece is all about the sacred art of balance: the sun and the moon šŸŒžšŸŒ™

Since it has been a bit since I’ve shared what I’ve been up to… here’s a little reminder that I’m still out here doing therapy (both mental health and ink). All while giving expressive, feral, relatable, millennial stank faces šŸ˜‚. Turns out, therapists are just humans who went to school to figure out why we are the way we are. Who knew? šŸ˜‰

We’re taught that healing is about fixing ourselves; becoming faster, stronger, calmer, ā€œbetter.ā€

But real healing isn’t self-optimization.
It’s integration.
It’s expanding your capacity to honor all of you: the angry parts, the grieving parts, the anxious parts.
It’s feeling more, not less.
It’s becoming whole.

šŸ’ Take a moment today to notice the parts of you you’ve been trying to fix or silence. What happens if you just… hold them instead?

For anyone interested in exploring this more, Radical Acceptance by Tara Brach, PhD. is a beautiful guide to learning how to love all of yourself.
