Mission Statement- A Time to Dance (AT2D) is an uplifting dance education program seeking to bring joy and encouragement to our youth that will enhance and celebrate the beautiful individuality of each and every child. Our mission is to provide our youth with a dance education of excellence offered in a warm, positive atmosphere, incorporating Christian music and themes and equipping dancers to re
ach their fullest potentials on and off the dance stage. Owner Laura LeBlanc is certified by examination to educate in tap, jazz, ballet, and acrobatics through Dance Masters of America, where she remains an active member committed to educating herself and staff with the latest and best dance styles stressing technique. She resigned from her position as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist to joyfully answer a calling to share her talents in the form of dance ministry. Her dance honors include the Hank Crabteee Memorial Award and Dance Teacher of the Year at DTU Nationals, the Rita Hewitt Award for Inspired Choreography at New York-Los Angeles Dance Nationals, and a nomination for the Cambridge Who's Who Among Executive and Professional Women. She served on the judges' panel and teacher faculty for DTU and other dance organizations. Other career highlights include dancing the lead role Clara for the Southland Dance company as an eleven-year old aspiring ballerina, impromptu tapping on stage with the celebrated tap master Gregory Hines at a Beau Rivage show, and dancing on stage with jazz technique legend, Luigi. She and her students have been the recipients of several awards and scholarships for their dancing at both regional and national levels, including Overall High Score Solo, Duo/Trio, and Group Awards, Best Choreography Awards, Judges Choice Awards, Judges' Inspiration Awards, Outstanding Entertainment Awards, Faculty Choice Winners, and winners in the prestigious Petite Miss Dance of Louisiana and Petite Master Dance of Louisiana. She is grateful to be living her dream... impacting others to realize and celebrate their unique God-given gifts and callings!
