Serving LA DJ culture since 2006 Syntherapy has evolved from open-table nights into a full-scale creative collective blending live performance, open decks, and community. DJ Dr. Souss started The DJ Cafe back in 2006 after being relocated to Houma, LA in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Once in Houma, he started an open table weekly event called the DJ Cafe at The Brick House it wasn't long aft

er its popularity grew and it became Houma's most successful EDM weekly to date. Running for 15 years the DJ Cafe came to help establish many young local talent who otherwise may have never had the chance to play mainstage and get their careers on track and get themselves established within the DJ community. DJ Dr. Souss has since stepped down as host and handed the DJ Cafe down to Righteous James who then handed it down to DJ Tech with Weekend Warriors . After relocating venues and no longer being a weekly, DJ Tech felt it was only right to relaunch with a new name and mindset. Once covid hit, it was over a year since DJ Café held an event and by the time things opened back up it didn't feel the same using The DJ Café name hence Syntherapy was born! The event still holds true to its same format offering open table format but now holds special events on occasion as well. We look forward to having you as our guests. Much Love!!
