Catch My Eye Henna is a body art business focused on providing high-quality temporary and safe body art to all who wish to receive henna. The henna is applied freehand by squeezing the paste out of a hand-rolled cellophane cone onto the skin. The paste falls off, leaving a stain that lasts 1-2 weeks. Catch My Eye henna paste is mixed in small batches using only four ingredients including henna pow

der, sugar, an essential oil, and a liquid (lemon or water.) I have a variety of paste options for clients with potential allergies.

🔥Let's talk about henna Henna 🌿

💚All Natural
💚Lasts 1-2 Weeks

Henna is a plant that is harvested, dried, powdered, and then I blend it with
💚Lavender essential oil
(To bring out dye release)
💚Sugar
(So paste sticks to the skin after drying)
💚& Water!
(To make that paste consistency!)

I let the paste dye-release for 4-6 hours before rolling it into henna cones!💫

I slowly freehand draw the designs. No stencils💜

Once the paste is on your skin, it's beginning the staining process 🎨
This is where the longer you leave the paste on, the darker & longer lasting your stain can get.🥳
Luckily the actual drying time is only about 30 mins.⏰️

Once you flake the paste off, an orange stain is visible,
But the fun part is watching it oxidize,
🤎Slowly transitioning from that orange into brown/red tone
(the tone of your stain can range brown to redish in response to the pigment of your skin.)

It continues to oxidize and deepen in color
💫UNTIL💫 you get it wet. 💧

This can be avoided by 💫sealing💫
your stain with a balm/wax/oil before washing hands, showering or swimming 🚿

Then it's just enjoying your art go through its seasons.
The paste, the stain colors, the fade.🖤

Henna is such a magical experience.🥰
I'm glad I get to share it with you & look forward to a busy henna season as festivals & events kick off again next weekend🎉

P.S. if you ever find a henna artist offering "black henna" and it isn't jagua gel, don't accept it for your safety 😬

Any henna that is shelf stable has additives, so if you see branding on the cone (not someone's brand sticker on it, but the all over fully branded cones) just say,
"NO THANKS!"

It will be very graphic, but if you look up images of

It will show you just how dangerous the fake stuff can be.

Natural henna is very safe, so a good rule of thumb when considering henna from an artist is asking, "what's in your paste?"

If they don't know, I wouldn't trust it...
It's only four ingredients 👀
