FUN CITY CHORUS AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS
The Fun City Chorus has awarded its 2026 scholarships to Annabelle Kramarenko of Fountain Lake High School and Jonah Martin of Jessieville High School. The Chorus awards scholarships to Hot Springs area high school students entering college each year who plan to study music. This successful program has awarded over $32,000 in scholarships since its beginning. The scholarships are awarded in the name and memory of former outstanding Chorus members.
Annabelle Kramarenko has been awarded the Bill James Memorial scholarship. She plans to attend Arkansas Tech University and study both instrumental and vocal music education. Annabelle graduated with a cumulative 3.90 GPA, and is an outstanding instrumentalist and vocalist. Among her numerous awards are ASBOA State Solo and Ensemble Superior ratings ’24 and ‘25, Four States Honor Band First Band player ’24, ’25, ’26, and FSBA “Hall of Fame “Recipient in 2026.
Jonah Martin has been awarded the Morgan Weston Memorial Scholarship. He plans to study Music Education and participate in the Arkansas Tech Band. Jonah graduated with a 3.63 GPA and is an outstanding instrumentalist. He was a 2026 All State Band and Honor Band selection, as well as 2026 All-Region 1st Band/1st Chair.
Fun City Chorus congratulates both of these fine students and wishes them well in their college careers. A Scholarship Awards Ceremony will be held in their honor June 22 at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
The Fun City Chorus has a busy summer schedule with numerous performances. The chorus will be performing their very popular “Songs of America “ concert at the Arlington Hotel on June 29th, 7pm. For more information call Doug Calloway at 870-734-6185.
