VAC (Village Art Club) strives to promote a friendly environment where members and guests motivate and inspire one another in the art of painting. VAC members comprise every skill level. At each monthly meeting there is a project taught by a member with the membership actively participating. The monthly newsletter informs members of the upcoming project and materials needed. At a typical meeting y
ou would have your table and supplies prepared and ready to begin by 9 am. At that time the club business meeting takes place. The club now has a Monthly Art Experience project which you do at home and bring to share with the club. Each month there is a different topic to paint, sculpt, whatever in any medium. Raffle tickets are offered for sale to win items from the Raffle Table... donations by several members each month. Monies from the raffle go toward the cost of the room rent. This is followed by a snack time... several members bring snacks each month for the group. Next is the instructional session. A member/teacher will demonstrate and direct as members paint along. This experience is enhanced by the use of a projector so everyone has a good view. Everyone usually leaves with a finished piece and has learned something new.
