Another NCECA in the books!

Glad to have been a long for the ride and feeling inspired that ever to get back in studio making and keeping the ball rolling

A huge thank you to the for including me in the experience and am so grateful to have shared spade with such amazing and talented artists

The dilapidated and beautiful Motor City was a great place to explore, eat like there's no tomorrow, and dance to some motown mixes

It's hard not to feel overehelmed and somewhat small at the sheer volume, caliber, and success of work and fellow artists, past and present at NCECA

Although I feel inspired about the work I've seen and what i would like to make, it really is the community and welcomesness of everyone i meet at events like NCECA that remind me how great the ceramic community and why j started making with clay in the first place.

Hello folks!

I am thrilled to be joining the pop up this year is Detroit

My work consists mostly of functional wares, mugs, bowls, plates, etc

I've been exploring surface design more in recent years, finding ways to communicate with the form and to highlight its features.

Beyond excited to be a part of next march in Detroit!

A bit about me,
Originally, I am from the New England area but have made roots down here in Horse Shoe, NC.
My partner and I .by.be started our studio this year and has been an amazing adventure since.

In my work, I use simple shapes and soft curves to establish an array of surface designs. The choice to use a simplistic form highlights the complexities I add to my surfaces through a variety of slip designs, glaze applications and firing techniques.
