Arts for All Kentucky, Sims Studios and the city of Horse Cave are happy to showcase 13 students work this week at the Thomas House. This work is part of the Side by Side program that is funded through Arts for All KY with the support of WHAS Crusade for Children, KDE and other sponsors. If you would like to view the show this week you can contact Jennifer Sims or Sims Studios to make an appointment for viewing.

We will have a closing reception to honor the students Friday, June 19th from 3-4. The public is welcomed to attend.

Remember next Saturday, June 20th from 2-5 we will be painting Barn Quilts. Make sure to signup by Thursday so we can get things prepped for your barn quilt.

Have you wanted to make a Barn Quilt?

If so, your opportunity is here with Sims Studios at ACE Coffee Co. on June 20th from 2-5. We prepare your design on a weather proof board and you will use exterior grade paint that is durable. All materials are provided and due to the paint we use there is no need to seal it once it’s painted. There are 4 designs to choose from and the cost is $95 for a 2’x2’ or $115 for a 3’x3’. Our next scheduled “Barn Quilt” is Saturday, June 20th from 2-5. Once you register to reserve your spot you will be contacted for a deposit.

Thank you to everyone who came out to see Jesse and my show at Baker Arboretum at the reception. Once people began showing up I didn’t get any pictures…I didn’t even get one of Jesse, Draven and I which I intended to do, but I’ll share a few that I took when I first got there. Thank you Jack for hanging our show perfectly and hosting such a wonderful reception. Thank you to those who purchased work. If you have questions or want to purchase work you can contact us.
