It finally happened! ✨I painted in my new studio space!✨ It was such a sweet release, truly a sense of peace and belonging.
The floral sparkly-watercolor-outline was painted a few weeks ago, on a Sunday evening (and my 36th birthday) while living in a hotel room with my partner and our two cats. My anticipation about stepping into life’s next chapter can be seen in the trembling stems but it was also such a relief to breathe fully without all the moldy window panes and underneath rotting wood. My skin has gone from a dull grayish-ivory color to having a natural pink-brightness to it, same with the cats’ gums!
My goodness, talk about a whirlwind of a week! From starting a new job, finding a duplex that ticked almost all the boxes, viewing said rental, our rental application accepted, meeting the landlord Thursday evening and moving in the next morning - I plum forgot to tell anyone that we were *actually* moving in!
The mega downsizing to fit all of our belongings (besides garden and outdoor gear) in one storage unit was so worth it.
While I painted last night, I listened to one of my favorite podcasts ( ) where the host, Margo, mentioned Hopkins - the town I now call home. I chuckled to myself, got a little misty-eyed and noted another beautiful moment of synchronicity. ✨
