Meet one of the best dads in the animal kingdom.
While many animal dads leave the parenting to mom, emu dads do things differently. After the eggs hatch, Dad takes over—keeping a watchful eye on his chicks and leading them wherever they need to go.
This video from earlier this year of an emu with his chicks is the perfect Father's Day reminder that great dads come in all shapes, sizes and species.

This Sunday, Father's Day, World Giraffe Day and the first day of summer all land on the same day, and we're celebrating all three at Alabama Safari Park.

Dad gets a FREE feed bucket with admission, the giraffes will be ready for their favorite snack at the giraffe tower and summer officially kicks off with a safari adventure the whole family can enjoy.
