🚨 HELP US SUPPORT A MEMBER OF OUR COMMUNITY 🚨
Many of you know Finn Anderson from his years as a musician, educator, producer, and member of the Hood River music community. Finn was an important part of the Underground Music Station family, and we’re asking our friends and followers here in Hood River to help support him and his partner, Natalie, during an incredibly difficult stretch.
Finn now lives in California and is currently caring for his grandparents in Marysville. At the same time, he is trying to build a future for himself and pursue work opportunities in El Dorado County. He has potential caregiving clients, prospective music students, and has applied to become a substitute teacher for the upcoming school year.
Unfortunately, over the past month, both Finn’s and Natalie’s vehicles have suffered major breakdowns.
Finn’s 2010 Prius—his primary vehicle for nearly 300,000 miles—has experienced another major head gasket failure after approximately $800 in attempted repairs. Natalie’s 1995 Ford Aerostar is also dealing with serious radiator and head gasket problems, along with existing suspension and steering issues that have already limited how much she can safely drive.
Without reliable transportation, it has become extremely difficult for Finn to travel between Marysville and El Dorado County, where he is trying to pursue work and build a more stable future. Natalie is also raising her son and dealing with her own financial challenges after using much of her savings last year to leave a toxic and abusive living situation.
Together, Finn and Natalie have been doing their best to stay afloat while dealing with rising costs and increasingly unreliable transportation.
Finn is now raising money to replace his Prius with a reliable, fuel-efficient used vehicle. A working car would allow him to continue caring for his grandfather while also pursuing the work, teaching, and music opportunities that will help him build a more stable future.
If you know Finn from his years in Hood River, you know how much he has contributed to the music community. We hope that our community can give something back to him now.
