I am scheduled to have procedures done to my upper neck, which up until now, has immobilized my ability to do any creative work. The procedure is on December 1st, 2022. At this point I am not quite hopeful, the lower nerve blocks done in back in April 2022 is starting to wear off. So we are starting the whole process once again.

I'm going to try to experiment with some drawings or watercolor paintings in the next several weeks. I'm not promising anything. But I feel frustrated and in some ways, angry at the whole situation. For the most part the pain is debilitating, exhausting, and the process of the procedures, time consuming. I can no longer wait.

Medical update. I've had several procedures, but I still have pain on the upper right side of my neck and severe headaches about five times a week. It's been a partial success; the left side of my neck has significantly less pain. I have to, at all times, keep my head in a neutral position. If I don't, I have severe pain. Consequently, that means no new creative work. I will see the Specialist who does these procedures mid-September; will probably undergo more procedures.

Will keep everone posted.

It's been a while since I've last posted an update regarding my medical procedures regarding my neck and hands. I've had some procedures which inflamed the entire upper cervical neck and occipital areas of my head. Consequently, it's very painful and difficult to hold my head in a "drawing or writing" position.

A procedure is planned for September. We'll just have to wait and see.

The pain is back. My neck, shoulders, arms and hands (fingers) are affected. I'll be going under procedures in the next few months to alleviate the pain and the related numbness in the affected areas. This procedure is not something that is done once and then it's done. I'll have to continually do this procedure every six to nine months, as the nerves grow back after being ablated.

In the mean time, I'm preparing for the next series of drawings that will be done after the surgeries.

Since the medical procedures went extremely well, I’m now drawing once again. Have control and “feelings” in my hand and fingers. Some works in progress.

I am awaiting surgical procedures on both sides of my neck in the first half of June 2021. These procedures will ablate the nerve endings in the joint surrounding the cervical vertebrae; this will allow me to have more movement, feelings and a significant degree of less pain in my neck which has plagued my shoulders, arm and hands. I ask that you bear with me. In the waiting and what looks like time spent doing nothing. We are forced to work with the doctor's schedule and the insurance approval processes. I sincerely thank each and every one of you for your patience.👌
