Actors, use your 'psychological gesture' while in a scene if your imagination weakens, simply envision the gesture. In one movement the psychological gesture awakens the essence of the character in you thus aligning your thoughts, feelings and, objective. When this happens your walk, expression, mannerism, voice and line delivery are all inspired by one moving image. Come to class and train, train, train.

Mahalo The ARTS at Marks Garage!

Every Tuesday, seasoned actress Consulina Wong teaches acting classes for local performers at The ARTS at Marks. During August’s classes, intermediate-level actors worked in front of a green screen to create a mock film set situation. Local actors Brighton Spencer and Byron Kauhi, pictured here, learned how to prepare and perform with only a green screen and their imagination.

How to create an original character. create a look, a special facial expressions, find the objective, create back story, moment before. After all that, toss it away and just be in the moment when they say "action". Actors, please be in training. Nothing else matters.
