Our little squirrel woke up ready to graduate and take on the world 🐿️✨

Keōwai, always full of joy and a good time, carries the spirit of our Gramps and an inoa kūpuna that found its way back to him.

Hoʻomaikaʻi to our youngest on his hoʻopuka ʻana! Not pau yet… as his journey up the hill to Kapālama begins, following in the footsteps of his kūpuna at Kamehameha Schools.

Mahalo nui to Kawaiahaʻo Church School for loving and shaping all three of our keiki. We will forever cherish the memories made here and will always be proud alumni.

We aloha you so much, Keōwai 🤍

This past Merrie Monarch on Moku o Keawe week was 😭🙏🏽. We intentionally (and sometimes unintentionally) created space for Ke Akua, Nā Aumakua, and our kūpuna to spend time with us.

I woke up this morning from a dream of my 3rd great grandfather Samuel Keliinoi and his classmate Charles E. King asking me, “What is your legacy?”

Then I received a text to check my ʻohana portal. As a Kamehameha Schools alumna (Class of 2003), this moment carries generations of my ʻohana.

My son Keōwai was accepted today, and I am filled with such gratitude. His name calls forth the eternal waters, the returning cycle of our kūpuna, and I feel that truth in this moment.

From Samuel Keliinoi (First graduating class of 1891), to Lizzie Keliinoi (First girls graduating class of 1897), to our ʻohana across the generations, this legacy continues.

Ke Aliʻi Pauahi and Queen Liliʻuokalani gave everything to uplift our people. Kamehameha Schools remains a living fulfillment of that vision.

Onipaʻa kākou. Imua Kamehameha!
