Dear Attendees,
After extensive discussion with Maui and Oʻahu promoters, and while the last weekend of October has traditionally been the dates for Hawaiʻi Dance Expo (excluding the COVID years), I have finalized new dates that avoid conflicts with major island events and also consider requests to move the event due to Halloween family commitments. Hawaiʻi Dance Expo’s 8th Edition will now take place on October 17–18, 2026, with activities from October 16–18, 2026 at Prince Waikiki Resort. As many of you know, I have always supported dance congresses across the islands, and 2026 will also be my final year as a full-time organizer for HIDX, as I transition the event to the Bachatahisian Group; I may remain involved on a smaller scale, primarily in marketing. I look forward to seeing you all in October 2026.

This Festival has always been about you—the dancers, instructors, choreographers, and passionate souls who breathe life into the local community, not just in Honolulu, but across all of Hawai'i. From the very beginning in 2010, when I first started organizing events, this has been my guiding philosophy: to create a space that truly honors the people who show up, who dedicate themselves to their craft, and who make our community vibrant and alive.

No matter what challenges we face or what changes come our way, one thing remains constant: you will always have our Expo. This is your platform to promote your talent, to teach and share your gifts, to connect with fellow artists, and—most importantly—to celebrate this beautiful thing we all love: DANCING.

Dance is more than movement. It's connection. It's expression. It's joy. And together, we keep that spirit alive.
