This year’s program features an exciting mix of award-winning films from our ‘Ohina Labs program and award-winning ‘films from Ohina Labs alumni. With the short film, The Arrangements, we are honored to collaborate with and at our 6:30pm event. Thanks to our sponsors Kosasa Foundation, , SAG-AFTRA

Massagers for Sale — GREEN-LIGHT AWARD WINNER. Written and directed by ʻOhina Labs Fellow Chris Lui, starring Tzi Ma and Megan Lee. A young woman’s relationship with her father reaches its breaking point when he mistakenly stocks their struggling Chinatown gift shop with a new line of “massagers” and “toys.”
A Hurt Like Mine — Written and directed by ʻOhina Labs Fellow Kahea Kiwaha. At a women’s shelter, sensitive young Keoki struggles to support his determined mother and baby sister while confronting painful truths of their past. When a haunting, childlike apparition appears, he must face his buried trauma and begin the journey toward healing.
Grace — Written by ʻOhina Labs Fellow Elizabeth Rian, Directed by Jana Park, starring Elizabeth Rian and Lindsey Watson. Honolulu, 1959:Over a family dinner, two women conceal their forbidden love—one resisting the pressure to marry, the other her nation’s impending admission to the United States. Inspired by true events.
Dasher — Written by alumni, Bryson Chun and directed by Alexander Bocchieri. A down-and-out food delivery driver and a wayward restaurant worker team up for a chaotic night of deliveries on Christmas Eve.
The Arrangements — GREEN-LIGHT AWARD WINNER. Written and directed by ʻOhina Labs Fellow Sonny Ganaden with support from Co-Fellow Chris Lui. Three Micronesian boys in Hawai‘i have one day to prepare for a funeral and find their friend’s hidden treasure.
Salvador — Written and directed by ʻOhina Labs Fellow Henry Ian Cusick. An ordinary man searches for the truth of who he really is after a single moment changes the course of his life.
