💐 🦌 Fawn Season - Deerling fan art digitally done on iPad with Procreate 🦌 💐

For Kawaii Kon 2026, the Banana League Ribbon Rally went with a Pokémon theme, & each artist chose their own Pokémon type & Pokémon for that type. I chose Normal & Deerling. I have to be honest: I’m the least knowledgeable about the franchise LOL. I think they’re cute! I just don’t really know anything about it 😂 Nonetheless, I can only hope the beauty, elegance, & cuteness of Deerling came through, & I made sure to include all of the seasons it represents with different forms: Spring, Summer, Autumn, & Winter, in that order. Spring is my favorite form, because it’s pink 💖 Plus, I also chose Normal & Deerling because I feel that’s the most translatable to outside of Pokémon, too, where non-fans of the franchise such as myself can still enjoy and admire the drawing :D

This Saturday, June 20, & Sunday, June 21, from 10 AM to 5 PM, catch me & Carnate as table partners for the first time at ‘Umi Toys Hawai’i: Hawaiian-Owned Designer Toys, Kaiju, & More!’s Hawai'i Video Game Marketplace & Kawaii Kon’s Anime Swap MeKawaii KonBlaisdell Center at 777 Ward Avenue! We’ll specifically be in the HI Video Game Marketplace side. Expect video game-related art just like this Deerling one in this post on our table. We hope to see y’all there 😘

🧚 Kawaii Kon Artist Alley 2026 Announcement: CJ Aloe Art & will be vending in the Standard Table # E126 this weekend from Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26 at the Hawai'i Convention Center (we’re right next to a pillar)! 🧚‍♀️ Please check us out, support & chat. We both got new art & merchandise. I’m personally bringing prints of different sizes, keychains, notebooks, stickers, & I’m introducing sticky notes with 2 designs! I’m also offering framed commissions services so we can capture this Kawaii Kon weekend moment forever 🖼️ ✍️

I am a part of the Banana League free Ribbon Rally that’s Pokemon-themed, as you can see from the 1st 2 slides. No purchase is necessary so you can participate for free (although a follow and friendship would be dope heh) 🍌 Shoutout to everyone in the rally, especially for these fliers!

The artwork, i see you, is a self-portrait of me, the artist. With this piece, I hope you see me, the artist who usually draws other people & things, as my own art subject here who can also be of interest, even if I don’t always shed light on myself. I go from being behind the drawing, to becoming it. Can you see me now?

I also have a total of five 8.5” x 11” matte prints being sold @ Gangway! If the original is too pricey but you still want to support & own it in some way, prints are the more viable option for you ^u^
