🏮We are excited to announce 2 of 3 collaborations that we are doing for this year’s 13th Annual Mōʻiliʻili Summer Fest, Honolulu’s largest Bon Dance! 🏮

Mōʻiliʻili Summer Fest x Castaways Ice Cream (a Mō’ili’ili business) have collaborated and will be offering a special limited edition Butter Mochi Ice Cream. Available for purchase at Andagi Night on Friday, July 3 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM or at the festival on Saturday, July 4 from 5:00PM to 10:00PM. A portion of each sale will be going towards the production of the festival.

Castaways Ice Cream is a locally-owned Mōʻiliʻili business known for its super-premium, small-batch homemade ice cream. They are located on the corner of Isenberg Street & South King Street.

Join us for Andagi Night on Friday, July 3, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Waiānuenue ma Kapa’akea Parking Lot (The Old Varsity Building Parking Lot & Coyne St., 1100 University Ave.)

Attendees can enjoy select food vendors, exclusive festival merchandise, and beloved local treats—including fresh Okinawan andagi—while getting a first taste of the weekend festivities. The Friday night gathering offers a fun and flavorful kickoff to the holiday weekend before the main festival takes center stage on Saturday. Free onsite parking and open to the public!

Adding to the weekend festivities, on Friday, July 3 at 5:30 p.m., Ed Sugimoto of VH07V (Aloha Revolution) and Jodi Kamisato — a local musician and owner of ʻUkulele Hale — will create a special rendition of Hawaiʻi's beloved anthem, "Aloha Friday." The collaboration celebrates the neighborhood's vibrant small business community while inviting residents and visitors alike to spend the holiday weekend supporting local shops, restaurants, and vendors throughout Mōʻiliʻili. We encourage attendees to be a part of the video recording!

🏮We are excited to announce 1 of 3 collaborations that we are doing for this year’s 13th Annual Mōʻiliʻili Summer Fest, Honolulu largest Bon Dance! 🏮

Mōʻiliʻili Summer Fest x Aloha Matcha have collaborated for this year’s festival and will be offering a special festival drink - Watermelon Matcha, a perfect drink to have while enjoying the Summer Festival. A portion of each sale will be going toward the production of the festival.

Aloha Matcha blends the warmth of Aloha Spirit with Omotenashi, the Japanese tradition of heartfelt hospitality. They use 100% Premium Matcha and Hojicha all the way from Shizuoka, Kagoshima and Kyoto, Uji in Japan.

We are extremely grateful to have the following Bon Dance groups participating in this year’s 13th Annual Mōʻiliʻili Summer Fest, Honolulu’s largest Bon Dance!

Hawaii Shin Kobukai dance and Iwakuni group (Founded more than 50 years ago as Yamada Dance Group, Hawai’i Shin Kobukai continues to perpetuate bon dance in Hawai’i through traditional and modern music and dances.)

🏮Hawai‘i Shin Kobukai and Iwakuni Group will be taking stage at 6:15PM and at 8:05PM at this year’s 13th Annual Mōʻiliʻili Summer Fest!

Hawai‘i Eisa Shinyuu Kai (Founded in 2023, they are a cultural group perpetuating Okinawan music and dance in the eisa style in Hawai‘i. The group has live musicians that play the Okinawan samisen, sing traditional and modern songs, taiko drummers and dancers.

🏮Hawai‘i Shinyuu Kai will be taking stage at 7:10PM and at 9:00PM at this year’s 13th Annual Mōʻiliʻili Summer Fest!

Honolulu Fukushima Bon Dance Club (Honolulu Fukushima Bon Dance Club was founded by immigrant laborers who arrived in Hawai’i in the early 20th century. Their club is divided into two groups: the Yagura Gumi (musicians and performers) and the Dance Gumi (Bon Dancers). Their music always draws large crowds to the yagura!

🏮Honolulu Fukushima Bon Dance Club will be taking stage at 7:40PM and at 9:30PM at this year’s 13th Annual Mōʻiliʻili Summer Fest!
