The Hawaii Festival of Improv is a gathering and celebration of improvised theatre in all its diverse expressions. It is Hawaii's only international festival dedicated to improvised comedy and improvised theatre. Improvisers from all over the world come to Honolulu for a weekend of improv performances, workshops, and events. In past years we've welcomed improvisers from Aiea, Austin, Atlanta, Chic

ago, Dallas, Honolulu, Los Angeles, New York, Phoenix, Seattle, and as far away as Melbourne, Australia; Stockholm, Sweden; and Tokyo, Japan.

The festival strives to cultivate Hawaii’s local improv community by showcasing local and mainland improvisers while providing opportunities for them to network with each other. The festival also strives to raise the profile of the improvisation artform by introducing audiences to entertaining, stimulating and thought-provoking performances, opportunities to participate in interactive activities, and a chance to learn improv through festival-sponsored workshops. In light of the ongoing Covid-19 situation and because of our commitment to maintain a safe, healthy environment for our Improvaganza ʻOhana, we are postponing Improvaganza 15 until the fall of 2021. We look forward to hosting guests from around the world again as soon as it is safe to do so. Stay healthy, and we can't wait to see you in 2021!

You can see Hanz and Hieman make more art on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 9:30 pm, which will commence (as far as we are aware) their art this year in Hawaii. If you have not yet experienced Super Mega Art Show, your life is missing art you had not previously realized it required.
