🌿 Artist reveal 🌿

This has collaboration has been years in the making…the ✨ have aligned May 24th where Sofar can finally welcome to the community! 🤎

MATA is an up and coming Polynesian artist born and raised on the beautiful Hawaiian island of O’ahu. MATA gained online traction in November 2025, when her cover of the Fijian song, “Era Bini Tu” gained her more than five thousand followers in just a week’s time. Which now has over 67k views. As a passionate singer-songwriter, MATA aspires to create music that is relatable, meaningful, and that touches the soul. She favors a variety of genres including indie-acoustic, roots reggae, RNB, neosoul, jazz and the nostalgic sounds of the islands. She hopes to uplift young Polynesian artists to use their God given gifts boldly and with intention. Be sure to keep up with her creative journey.

Join us in giving her a warm welcome as we will be celebrating AANHPI voices along with welcoming back a beloved alum from Maui at one of our favorite places. 🍵

New hosts each with fun offers for the community!

Two new hosts are inviting into their gorgeous spaces. Each offering welcome gifts to ticket holders:

Waterfront Sunday, September 29th:

Trial month memberships offered to experience an exclusive clubhouse in the heart of town. Your ticket purchase will include this offer however a prompt will be required to complete your registration via email. Sofar Honolulu will cover the entry fee with the host through ticket sales. Some exclusions apply for Artists, Crew and Vendors - prior/day of registration is still required. DM for further information if interested.

Poolside Saturday, October 5th and November 2nd:

NEW restaurant access and lodging discounts for event Staycations. Reservations booked within the allotted timeframe for attendees and Artists make for a perfect opportunity to indulge in Waikiki’s hottest 🎶 spot!

Mahalo to our loving community for donating to this year’s PRIDE 🌈 host . Your support goes directly to resilient resident Andi 🐓, ‼️ vet bill relief!

We want to HI-light 🎂 alum for generously donating day of 🧚🏽 then again when our first recap went live that included an additional relief fund for the sanctuary. 🙏🏽

We are truly thankful to be immersed in such a supportive, caring commUNITY.

This year we will have 4 incredible artists take stage at a new host location set in their spacious patio!

Upon arrival we will have some helpers organizing the items and between sets the emcee will announce breaks for folks to begin swapping.
