Polu Gallery Hawai’i combines respect for surfing and the art it inspires.
It has been four years since Jonas’s last exhibition with Polu Gallery in 2019. Jonas Claesson’s next exhibition, “REFRACTION,” at Polu Gallery Hale’iwa from April 29th til May 14th, 2023, where Jonas will meet his fans.
His mediums are mostly ink and watercolor, and his characters are usually animals. His veterinarian partner, his toddler, and the life close to the ocean inspire him. He invites us to experience the “eternal moment.”
Jonas has a unique way of picturing a perfect sunset, the “chill vibes” of the surf scene, and the joy his cartoonish animal characters bring to the paper and into our hearts. We are so happy to share this experience with you in our Hale’iwa gallery.
Jonas is one of the most famous artists in the Polu Gallery. His work “Whale Shark” now reminds thousands of art lovers of the glory and stillness of the ocean in the comfort of their homes.
His book “Surfing Animals Alphabet” shows his true spirit as a surfer and creative, skilled to put his two loves, art and surfing, together.
The exhibition opening is on April 29th, Saturday, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Polu Gallery Hale’iwa.
We would love to see you there.
