AMAZING NEWS!!! “Lizards, Giants, and Gods: Stories Behind Hawaiian Place Names” has been chosen to represent Hawai'i in the “Great Reads from Great Places” list for the 2026 National Book Festival of the Library of Congress!

Every year, each Center for the Book affiliate highlights a book that in some way represents its state or territory’s literary heritage.

This is a huge honor and one that I'm so grateful for. Mahalo to Mutual Publishing and author Hugh Dunn!!

Stoked to share this project for who works to promote early childhood literacy outreach on the island of Kaua`i! They have a bunch of new and exciting things happening, so please check them out!

For the illustrations, I wanted to highlight how books not only bring us together, but with good imagination can take us anywhere! And I had so much fun dreaming these up!

Mahalo to everyone who came out to first Golden Hour Sessions!

When I opened Adobe Illustrator for the first time 5 years ago, I almost cried. I was so overwhelmed, extremely confused, and felt like giving up.

But countless hours (and many YouTube videos 🫣) later, I never thought I'd find myself presenting to a room full of creatives on the very program that once intimidated me to my core.

A reminder that we all start somewhere--usually somewhere uncomfortable, unfamiliar, and full of uncertainty. Keep going anyways!✨

And HUGE MAHALO to , Noah, and the entire team for always championing and bringing together our local creative community!
