Sometimes you just want to push yourself and see how tinier you can get on miniatures.

My big fingers struggled to keep them in place. But of course, tape and the piece of wood saved my day (like always).

This is a 1 inch by 1 inch wooden table. I was surprised it ended up standing because it was hard to put it together with my big fingers.

I used balsa wood for this one.

I think paper is a good material to start with miniatures. It's cheap and available in different designs, texture, color and thickness. I used paper a lot when I was starting before I learned clay and resin and other materials.
Even up to now, I use paper as a base specially for items with circular shapes.

I'm working on the ceiling for the bedroom. I decided I wanted a stained -glass lamp. But this will be a different technique. Still using resin but this time I used purely resin. My other technique in making the Tiffany lamp doesn't really work for some shape.

Hi! I thought I'd properly introduce myself. ❤️

My name is Christine and I live in Hawaii. I was born and raised in the Philippines. I moved to the US a few years ago.

I grew up in a poor but loving family. And even as a child, I loved crafting. At that time, I was into drawing. But as I grew up I also got into sewing clothes by hand, crochet and making baskets using newspapers. I would be that kid who always gets the Best in Arts award during vacation Bible school.

I remember when I was a kid, paper dolls from the store were so in. It cost one Philippine peso per page which included the doll and a couple of clothes. We couldn't afford it. So my mom said "make your own". I did and all my friends wanted me to make one for them.

In highschool I would draw the projects for the neighborhood kids in elementary school and they'd pay me.

When I got to college, I started making bead jewelry to sell so we have school money.

This is to say that crafting and arts has been part of my life in every season of my life. And now, I'm over 40 years old, still in love with crafting.

Miniatures came in 2020 using a kit. I realized that I love it but I want to make it mine. And so I started that journey and for some reason, I knew in my heart that this is the craft that will stay with me in my old age.

I created this page to share what I do and eventually I realized it could be a way to encourage others to get into it too. So I upload tutorials even though I'm also still learning hoping someone would pick it up and try.

Eventually, I want to monetize so the page can pay for all my materials and some. When that will happen I'm not sure.

For now, I'm okay and it brings me so much joy to create a miniature world and take those who want to join me.

If you don't know, nail art material/decorations are perfect for miniatures. I go to Daiso to buy nail art stuff and I have a bunch of them from stickers, hardware, beads, etc.

I love egg cartons as a miniature material. Even when I was just starting, it has been part of my stash. For this project, I used it as bricks for the wall. I wasn't that good but it looked good because of the texture.

I posted some clips of this project weeks ago. I found this clip of putting together the kitchen. I remembered the pride I felt for this project.
I just started learning how to build furniture and using polymer clay. It was also the first time I used resin.
Now, I'm not saying I'm an expert but I've gone a long way.

Like I said before, I'm not much of a crocheter in real life size. It takes so long to finish a project. And being one with the patience of a 5 year old, I didn't get very far. But miniature crochet is a game changer for me. I want to learn and be good at it.

So, I finished packing these miniature trinket boxes and I have to say it's pretty awesome. I molded and painted and designed each and every mug with care and love. I want to sell these with pride knowing how it came together and that it will help people. At the same time, I want those who will buy them to be happy they did.
